Last week, the three-day Slovak Dance Camp was held at the capital city of Slovakia. Many skillful and well-known trainers such as Dirk Heidemann, Alexander Makarov or Anastasia Titkova teached at this wonderful event. Siret & Zoltan also accepted the invitation by organizer Ivan Martinec and held valuable lessons.
Another participant was the active couple of Severin & Anja Lena, which first attended such an international training camp. Hopefully this intensive preparation will help them with their start in the upcoming autumn season.
Last week, Stuttgart (Germany) was the epicenter of dancing. Standard, Latin, Wheelchair dance or Boogie Woogie – the best of the best were there!
Siret and Zoltán Sándor played the second-most important role after the active dancers: Once more, they had the honor to judge at this marvellous event. Between the rounds, one or the other picture was taken together with colleagues and the occasional dancing legend. Take a look at our gallery below!
Severin Huemer-Kals & Anja Lena Gruber, both working in press and organizational staff, took the chance and started in the (national) Standard B-class. Even if not completely satisfied with their performance, they made it to the final and reached the 6th place out of 20 couples. Congrats!
Although the weather has a different opinion, spring season already started for Austria’s dancers.
Last weekend, a first highlight was held in Seiersberg: Couples competed at the Styrian Regional Championships for Standard dances. As dancing only on saturday is never enough, another competition was held the following day.
Both couples of Sirets Studio, Christopher & Julia and Markus & Julia can be satisfied with their start in the new season. With bronze medals for being third-best Styrian couples in their respective classes and strong performances on both days they can look forward to the next competitions. Congrats!

Simply marvellous! Last weekend, Styrian regional championships in Combination were held in the ATG hall in Graz. Under the watchful eyes of colleagues, trainers Lilly Schön & Eugen Brenner and of course our lovely Siret, many couples coached by Siret danced on this sunny afternoon. As you could maybe imagine after reading the header of this article, the results were simply breathtaking!
Severin Huemer-Kals & Anja Lena Gruber made a perfect start in the Allg. Klasse C Combination. With 6 out of 8 dances won, they ranked 1st as well as best Styrian couple – gold medal included! In addition, they also collected enough points and now climbed up in Latin C class. Their newly aquired skills in Paso Doble, the 5th Latin dance, were already presented during their start in Allg. Klasse A Combination, where they finally ranked 5th.
In the following, Wolfgang Kober & Nataliya Melnychenko rocked the Senior I A Combination. Clearly, they did not let any doubt in the judges minds and won with a straight 10 out of 10. As they compete for TSC Eden Graz, they also catched a gold medal for best Styrian couple in their class.
In Senior II A Combination, even two of Sirets’ couples reached the podium: Werner Baumann & Michaela Baumann ranked 2nd right before Christian Pilz & Michaela Stadler. Again, TSC Eden Graz president Eugen Brenner cheered as Werner & Michaela won the gold medal as best Styrian couple for their club.
Hans Mistelberger & Gertrude Kopp delivered a thrilling battle for first in Senior III A Combination: Fiinally, 4 first and 6 second places added up to a second place right behind the winners from Vienna.
The competition was crowned by the highest class, the Allg. Klasse S Combination. Here, Andrii Kamyshnyi & Karina Shpakovskaya showed again a great performance and beatiful dancing under Sirets’ watchful eyes. Impressively, they reached not only the first place but also the spectators amazement and enthusiasm.
Last sunday, on mothersday, a Standard workshop with Estonian dancer and trainer Matis Toome was again held. With his experience of many years and deep knowledge about the principles of movement in Standard dances he led invaluable group and private lessons for both beginners and advanced dancers. The presented contents were a welcome addition to Sirets teaching. With the gym of the school in Stattegg being again location for a Standard workshop, the dancers were able to train the correct creation of momentum and their position within the dance pair with sufficient space to move and a perfect dance floor.
Once more, big thanks to Matis Toome and his great collaboration with Siret! In addition to the outstanding quality of teaching, these workshops always act as a great source of inspiration and motivation for the dancers.
Last saturday, the regional capital St. Pölten was place of Lower Austria’s championships in combination. Beside several junior and senior classes, members of the Allg. Klasse 8 dances presented their dancing to jury as well as the many spectators. Severin and Anja Lena danced a strong final under the watchful eyes of guests of honor and a film crew of Austria’s private TV broadcast ATV. With wins in all Standard dances and good results in Latin they finally ranked second scarcely behind the winners from Saalfelden, Salzburg. Congratulations to this great success!
